25/2/2005 – Xavi Torres returns to compete after Athens

The swimming Majorcan Xavi Torres (CN Voltor Balear) returns this next weekend to the competition after a few months without taking part in any test. The last appearance of Torres was in Athens where it was done by a silver and a bronze and to raise to fourteen the metals paralímpicos achieved in his sports career. It will be this Saturday and Sunday in Badalona’s Barcelonian locality where Xavi Torres returns to throw to the water in one of the tests puntuables for the Catalan League.

He is foreseen that Torres swims 200 m. Free, 200 m. medley and 150 m. medley in this competition that will use as test with a view to the tightest calendar of competitions that will have his continuity in Onda (Castellón) the following weekend and in Esbjerg (Denmark) from March 11 to March 13.

Later Xavi Torres will center with the national equipment(team) in the last week of March, to prepare the Championship of Winter Spain in Cadiz and, overcoat, the tour of May that the Open Británico includes in Sheffield (May 6 to May 8), the Glass of the World of Manchester (May 11 to May 14) and the Opened one of Belgium (from May 21 to May 23). The Glass of the World will be this year the maximum competition that the Majorcan one will dispute this season and will be one of five Spanish who will be present in this appointment in which it(he,she) will wallow only 150 m. medley.

Later in June, Torres he(she) will travel to the Czech Republic in the first week and to Berlin (in the last week) to complete the season in Cordova disputing the Championship of Summer Spain.
