- ¿ How have you prepared this Worlds?
The preparation has been quite intense during the last weeks and now we are tuned up to the possible maximum my capacities expecting to be able to remove them all the provecho in this championship of the world. Above all we have directed our efforts in the test of 150 Medley that is my specialty and later I expect and desire to be able to be in the tests of changeovers to be able to opt to medals of this category.
- You Travel with a week of adaptation. ¿Is sufficient time?
The preparation would have been more adequate if we had been more time there, by the climate and the change of schedule, since there is summer. At first we have certain disadvantages with respect to China or Australia, that carry more than two months concentrated on more adequate conditions. Of all forms we are going to go with the most maximum illusions and willing to return with the better results.
- Has had a before and an after March 1, this year, when you swam 58 Km. and 800 m. in 24 hours. Previously to this feat already you had been campeon Olympic, world, national, etc. And in Balearic islands you were a personage very acquaintance, but that test has served yourself to bring to light in the remainder of Spain. ¿What has changed in your life since that day?
With the 24 hours I have known a discipline that had not tested, the long distance and not alone in pool but also in open sea, with several crossings in Canaries, Majorca and Catalonia. It is a very hard discipline and with a very different training to which I do habitually , even thus I do not rule out to repeat it. – All we know what costs to be sportsman of elite in Spain when you practice a sport of the minority calls. If to this you add that is sport adapted or badly disabled call, we find us with some extreme difficulties. If a sportsman not “disabled” obtains a medal of gold in a World one will receive annually as scholarship ADO approximately 48.000 Euro. If on the contrary, any disabled sportsman , as is your case, conquers in a World one receives annually on the part of the Confederacy approximately 4.800 Euro.
- ¿You would be able to relate that think?
Perhaps not this it compared our sport and the Olympic one but little to little are more the businesses you publish and private that are involved and besides , in this case, to appear in the media of communication also helps to obtain sponsors and a better preparation. There are times in which one alone cannot confront according to that type of challenges or objective and the to have a good team behind, as my coach Toni, my medical one Antonio Aguilo, my manager Leo Iglesias or my physical therapist, obtains that can center me in what is important without distractions.

In the month of March I changed of Club upon putting on file for the Real Club Náutico of Palm. The possibility gave me to prepare the World one without have to develop another type of activity to be able to obtain economic incomes. Besides to swim representing to a club of so much category as this always you full of pride. On the other hand, to be the image of my Community, of ILLES BALEARS, is something that for any to shoot is a privilege. It permits me to be able to respond to more International competitions to the power to vote the trips, besides count on a team of support as important as is a doctor and a coach.
